Services
KEN members are entitled to the following services:
- Access to closed sections of KEN Portal;
- KEN Monthly Electronic Bulletin (up to 30 direct recipients);
- KEN Briefs – Short, topical information sent weekly to members according to their interest profiles;
- Invitation to annual KEN Forum and Preparatory Workshops;
- Invitation to all KEN events (Policy Dialogues, KEN Days in Brussels, etc.);
- Individual requests (up to 5 consultancy hours annually, to be balanced-out within 3 years);
- Promotion of members’ good practice cases;
- Participation at KEN annual general meetings;
- Indirect participation (through national delegates) in the work of KEN Steering Committee.
KEN is going to be effective to the degree it manages to fill some of the gaps, and offering to its members and their constituencies clearly recognizeable added value services. The Network interacts with policy & opinion makers, and stakeholders at regional and local level – raising their awareness of the urgent need to upgrade knowledge-based competitiveness by better mobilizing human capital and using good practice as inspiration in their own endevours to strengthen knowledge society.
KEN is fulfilling its objectives through the following type of activities:
- communicating EU policies and translating European knowledge society strategies into practical policy instruments for Triple Helix Partners – following the slogan “Make it happen!”;
- facilitating collaboration among European regions & local communities committed to build knowledge society/economy and willing to share their experience and good practice;
- involving in Forum debates all Triple Helix Partners, and serving as a link between policy makers and stakeholders;
- serving as a bridge between EU and countries of South Eastern Europe.
